Side Note: I wish someone had done this for me, so all I would have to do is look up a specific movie and just select the 00002.mpls in tsmuxer and go. Now and forever Country of Origin for ALL my Blu-Ray are USA. Also Clown_BD doesn't seem to do well with branched discs it skips alot of the movie, It doesn't seem to know what. I don't see how this thread doesn't help much? what of those people that don't know what playlist to use or how to get to that point i think just telling them kinda allows them to stay noobs but for me i feel as tho I am building a database of branched discs. Mind you I come from DivX, XviD and XBMC from the days of olde when only us geeks had media servers and on-demand videos in every room including the bathroom! As for Region I just Keep forgetting to add it (Sorry). Hard Drives aren't that expensive and a little patience on a gigabit network with a popcorn hour for playback and you have a nice setup. I am unlike Like everyone out there trying to re-mux & compress Blu-Ray Perfection to mkv or convert to dvd (such a waste of quality). Man now I don't feel so alone in the world. If interested I will explain how I accomplish the task of "Backing-Up" a BD Disc and NO I do NOT own a BD-R Drive Just Rom and currently have 8tb of WD Black editions in my V.O.D.S.
but I like massive control and I really don't like how clown demuxes everything from its original state when its not completely necessary. I totally agree Clown is a great frontend. One theory is rental/retail, but this has not been proved as there are 2 sources from a rental which also differ. Additionally there are 2 versions of 'Krabat' floating around sourced in Germany. I've got mainly region B disks and I know for a fact the playlist on the German 'Cars' is different to the UK & French versions to name one of many examples I know of. you don't qualify your postings with region or even the country you buy them in.
Whilst your thread seems well intended, I don't think it helps much. i don't own a BD burner, but now have a media jukebox with 9tb. now i know from experience it was a complete waste of time. I remember when DVD came out and I used to transcode to DIVX, compress onto DVD5. Some people like to meddle, recode or whatever - then clearly CLI or another GUI could be for them. this probably is what 99% of the users actually want.
